Worst movie ever
Made no sense and was toally preposterous.
Atonement for Best Picture 2007
Read the book and then watch this movie, it makes a lot more sens then.

It's actully kinda a great movie, the only reason not to like it is that the film isn't close to the greatness of the book but if you haven't read the book then idk why you wouldn't like it.The story is amazing and the acting is mostly great, but even if you didn't like it then I still find it crazy to say worst movie ever with crap like into the dark out there.
Don't ever call me a kubrick hater, or I will have my droogs beat you to death.
The OP is such a fake. Atonement best picture? Garp is much better.
shareWell, didn't you think it was goofy the way Jenny wore a nurse's uniform and cap all the time?
i thought that was to make the movie seem a little out there.
Morally, one of the worst. But otherwise okay. Pooh reminds me of a childhood classmate I had who was not very kind to me.
Also, one of the female characters at the ocean cottage has my real name.
It doesn't matter WHAT the movie is, someone starts a thread called. Worst Movie Ever.
Worst movie ever??? Really???
oy...I weep for the future.
I know this film is not as exciting as "The Transformers" but I am sure it has more to say.
You don't see enough movies.
The movie has it's faults. Preposterous is a good word. The plane crash for example.
I don't know what the word for it is, but sometimes it seems to be eccentric just for the sake of being eccentric.
But worst movie ever? Not even close. See Battlefield Earth some time.

Robin Williams gave a good performance (I prefer him in serious roles and subdued)
but that's about the only good thing I can say about the film. It was boring. Glenn Close's character was so annoying and odd that I didn't care what happened to her. The movie just fails on every level, IMHO.
The film Simon Birch, based on another John Irving book (A Prayer for Owen Meaney) is a much better film. I recommend it over this one.
"This is a faithful saying...Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief."

I have seen MANY movies, but this is actually one of the worst I have seen, hated everything except John Lithgow's performance.
The Social Network/David Fincher/Annette Bening/Colin Firth/Christian Bale/Jacki Weaver
Oh, for the love of God and all that is holy! Could we please just quit with the "worst movie ever" crap. You do realize that almost every movie on this website has a tread calling each movie "the worst." There are so many movies that are far worse than any movie under this thread. Until you've seen every movie ever made, you're just not qualified to call any one movie "the worst." So, please, just shut up.
