Is double dipping for the new standard DVD worth it?

Just wondering if the additional special features are really worth upgrading from my 2 disc 20th anniversary set?

Are the picture and sound quality markedly better?

I don't own a BluRay player, so I'm referring to the new standard DVD.

In short, no. Its only on Blu-ray you get more out of it than you already have.

The 'new' DVD is exactly the same as the 20th Anniversary edition, except that for some reason the picture is cropped ever so slightly - I measured the aspect ratio of the 20th edition which came out at about 2.19:1 whilst the new one came out at about 2.14:1 so some more of the sides of the picture are cropped out!

I though that they had restored the film entirely with Lisberger supervising it, shame they only released that on bluray and just reissued the old DVD with new packaging.
