When programmers would be cooped up in tiny cubicles to do low wage software development for a mega corporation.
So glad that came true! BTW my cubicle is 8' x 8', I feel fortunate.
In a way, the movie also represents what people are doing on Facebook and Twitter. They immerse themselves in this world where they are the hero, like Tron in the games, as they sit (or stand) somewhere staring into a device.
