Is TRON a kids movie?
IDK, I have always wondered why TRON was put under the Disney name. It's not that it's "inappropriate," it's not bloody or sexual or anything, it's just a very mature story that I can't see kids getting into.

shareIt's more of a teen movie, in my opinion. I'm not sure of Disney's thinking behind it at the time. Maybe they were trying to get away from their "child friendly" image.

It was put under the Disney name because Disney made it and there was no other name at the time. It wasn't until later that they created the Touchstone Pictures label.

Saw it when I was 10 and loved it ever since. Always thought of it as a grown up movie because no children are ever shown except in the arcade scene, and that only lasts a few seconds.
shareDepends on the kid.
I was 10 when it came out, really into movies & video games (sports too) so it was a perfect fit for me.
