Nitpicks

1. When Stryker is in the old castle just before the dogs attack him, a snake creeps up to him, a snake which appears to be a python or boa constrictor. Yet, the castle in in Europe (Spain or France) and pythons and boa constrictors are not native to Europe.

2. When Stryker jumps down the shaft when the dogs chase him before he lands in that creepy room with the skeletons, armor, and weapons where he finds the key, the shaft he falls down looks futuristic and looks like it could belong in some spaceship from Star Wars or Star Trek, not a medieval castle.

You are right on both points. Another one that always bothered me about the castle is that he escapes the room where he almost dies by crashing through a window that seems to lead outside. Why didn't he just go t hrough the window in the first place instead of risking his life going through the booby-trapped castle.

This movie is so bad in the credibility department. That scene when Ed dies on the statue. That snake comes out of nowhere. That ending scene with the blob in the swamp? What the hell was that all about? I guess they just expected us to be so blown away by the "awesome" 3-D effects that we wouldn't notice how flawed the storyline and the continuity was.
