Anchor Bay will be re-realsing Special Edition's of Argento's Tenebre and Phenomena, two of the films which were not originally released anaphormically and were missing a few clipits of scenes. They are due to be released sometime in 2007.

The missing footage is literally a few clipits here and there. Would I am hoping for is a loaded DVD extras, like a new documentary or maybe a limited edition with the soundtrack CD like they did with Opera and Suspiria.

I have Tenebre on LD... the cuts are only noticeable if you pay very close attention, and the picture quality isn't exactly stellar; it's plagued with a ridiculous amount of contrast that blows out much of the detail. I'm glad i put off buying Phenomena if it's going to be re-released in a superior version anyway.

The documentary features on all of these are absolutely worthless. It's great to see a versin of "Phenomena" that makes sense. "Creepers" was such a ridiculous mess, but come one give us some features that are worthwhile, or maybe a commentary or two.
shareAny word on approximately when in 2007 these will be re-released? I'm just glad I found this out before spending $40-50 a piece on the version already available.
