The arm chopping scene

I'm curious as to how many takes it took to create that scene. I wonder how long it took to make it look so perfect. I guess this question could apply to all the murder scenes in Argento's movies. They are all done with such "beauty" and perfection. They are like a work of art.

When you consider that the arm (if still joined up) would have been a foot or so longer than the pre-chopped one, you have an odd idea of beauty and perfection.

According to Daria Nicolodi, the scene took one take.

Yeah, I think that it would take too much work to clean up all the blood each time they redid the shot.

We all need to convert to the fetishism of FEET!!!

It's definetely the most gory scene I've seen on a Dario Argento movie, although it's really well shot (If extremely exaggerated...)

That was the fakest arm I've ever seen in a movie. The scene was absolutely brilliant on the whole, but they didn't exactly work to make the arm look realistic after it was chopped off.
That aside, Tenebrae was the best Giallo I have seen in a long time. And the opening and closing music - genius.

I'm still working on my signature...
