I actually love this movie...

It's probably the worst movie ever made. Ever. But me and my friends love to rent it and watch it, and roll around on the floor laughing because it's so bad.
And I love how in the end where Linnet or whatever the heck her name is, turns into a bird, you can see a microphone poking up from the bottom of the screen.

Alright, I'll be a dwarf. But my name is Carlos. - Daniel Desario

Me too! Though I thing for very different reasons. First The look of the film is great, second its got Sean Connery, who is just awesome. I saw this as a kid, so the technical mistakes don't mean much to me. One question I hope someone can answer, why does the end seem so awkward and unfinished? Anyone?

Medieval romances were about a hero with a strict code of honor experiencing fantastic adventures. When, according to the 14th century poem, Gawain has experienced some requisite adventures then the only element left is the testing of his ability to balance the code of chivalry (associated with men) with the demands of courtly love (associated with women) and this is done at Bertilak's castle before he goes to the Green Chapel to meet his fate. By the time he meets the Green Knight again, he has done all that is required for the story and all that is needed is a coda where honor is satisfied and the hero returns from his quest to relate his experiences.
Although the screenwriter departed from the poem in many unfortunate ways, his ending is ambiguous because the finish of the source material is as well.
