Is the original dialogue all in Italian? Jack Hedley (Lt Fred Willians) is a British actor, and if you look at his lips, he seems to be delivering his lines in English.
shareI wondered about that too. All I can assume is that when it was redubbed for the American market, they decided to dub Jack Hedley's voice as well. Since as you say he is a British actor with a distinct accent, maybe they thought he didn't sound like a 'New Yawker' enough!
