Something fishy about the 'Trivia' section...

Under "Trivia", it says that a British company released the movie for export only "under close police supervision", and that the DVD release could only be released in the UK on the condition that there was only "minimum publicity", etc.

Anybody else think this is a load of cr@p? Neither claim makes any sense!

Yeah it's true. The company called VIPCO bought the rights to the film and would release it uncut in the rest of Europe. However, because the film had an infamous reputation in Britain, the censors stated that it should be cut by 22 secs and Vipco were not allowed to advertise the film in magazines ie. trading on it's reputation.

This, I'm sure you'd agree SUCKS BALLS.

It sure does, and what's more it's completely off the wall.

What do VIPCO's advertising plans have to do with the BBFC? They are just a film and video regulator.
