I agree. This movie made me laugh a few times. The gratuitous display of nudity and gore made this film even more interesting for me to watch, but still funny at the same time :P † To die is to rest †
Funny? Perhaps. Fulci's special gore effects often look completely unconvincing. So, it's easy for viewers to not find this film realistic in terms of its sadistic, brutal murders.
Weird? If by weird you mean, sick, than yes. Very "weird." But what's most weird is that anyone would defend this piece of *beep* *beep* by saying they like it. What is there to like about it?

This has legendary status in the UK as a nasty. Having seen it i understand why, James Ferman (BBFC General at the time) would just ban anything he found offensive and he had a reactionary attitude toward anything that mixed sadism and sex. Throw in some misogyny and you can see why Ferman had all the prints escorted out of the country (truth is that it prob turned Ferman on, thats why he was so offended.
Have to say though that I found it amusing, not least for the Donald Duck voice. How on earth did Fulci hear this in post production and think it was a good idea? Unless its actually meant to be comically funny - in which case it works. I defy anyone to be disturbed by someone quacking. That said its not terribly made, the acting is alright but you can see why Argento is deemed the master of Giallo above Fulci. It really feels like C Grade Argento at times. The Gore is done well at times although there is little variety, it totally owes its reputation to the rampant misogyny. The camera delights in the evisceration of the female body (which is also highly sexed). I don't have a problem with that and I think it probably speaks volumes about the censors attitude that they wanted to bury it and treat the female body as some 'other'. because whats worse than having even offensive discourse about the female sex is having none at all.
