True Story

I had lost this movie somewhere in the cobwebs of my mind. I heard something about James Woods today, who is GREAT, and it dominoed me to this board. WOW! I had a distant cousin who lived this movie in the late 70s. It was big news around my area and made front page headlines on a major newspaper in Pittsburgh. My great aunt actually hired a team to try and recapture her son. It failed. He then turned and attempted to file a lawsuit against her. Unreal, good stuff. As a child it totally interested me as did this movie. I haven't seen this flick since the mid 80s and I was still very young, maybe 12 or 13. I was exposed to HBO and Cinemax, all ratings, at a very young age, THANK GOD! I still luved it! The only scene that sticks in my head is when they get the kid from the cult and Woods has him holed up in a room tied to a chair. He is sticking pictures of Fonda in front of him burning and spitting on them, eventually breaking him, I think, AWESOME!!! Does anyone know where the DVD is and if there isn't one, why?!?!?!?!?
