This versus Abel Ferrara's "The Driller Killer" (1979)?

Which one did you like best?

Also, was this movie's character, a drill wielding serial killer, in any way inspired by the "Reno" character from, you guessed it, "The Driller Killer", played by the director Ferrara himself?

This was entertaining at least.

It wasn't trying to be high art, or anything. Nobody is suggesting that it should win Oscars.

Just a fun 80's slasher, that doesn't take itself seriously. In fact, the writers intended it to be a comedy.
