Did anyone else laugh at rocky when he was crying?
Oh he sounded so "mentally challenged." I just couldn't help but laugh.

I think I laughed earlier than you did. Not only did Rocky sound "mentally challenged," but when the nurses told him they had to get Mick into the ambulance right away, I find it surprising that he didn't just say "Well, let's get him ova thea!" Instead, he ignores them and talks to Mick. Even if he was on the verge of death, don't you think it would've been a better idea if they'd at least tried to get him to the ambulance? So what if there are a bunch of people? A friend's life is at stake here. I wouldn't just talk to someone when there might be a chance of reviving him a little longer.
RIP Mick. You could've lasted a minute or two longer if Rocky had learned to shut his mouth.

Better acting than either of you two could pull off.
shareThat's questionable since you've never seen me act. I also do not pursue a career in "acting" thus why I do not act now. Which should answer whatever else you was about to say.

Your right that was a bad assumption but I wouldn't say it was bad acting though because it was still effective and it was definitely a huge improvement over his hospital scene in Rocky 2.
shareI have two experiences growing up in the 80's, where i teared up in the theater...
once, when Rocky was crying about Mickey dying
once, when E.T. died, albeit it was only a temporary death.
Okay.. 3 times... I think i cried during The Fox and the Hound.
I didn't laugh.

I agree. Even if his crying sounded a little silly, it was still very heartbreaking esp if you watched previous Rocky films where Mickey and Rock were so close. Another thing, everyone has their own "cry" so we can't really classify Sly's crying in the bad acting category.
shareI know it's only a film but anyone who did laugh are just heartless.
They would feel exactly the same if They had a loved one near death.
I don't understand how anyone can laugh at Mickey dying. That's a very emotional scene and normal people would get teary eyed or at least feel sad. I get teary eyed every time and start to cry myself. Only cold hearted people would laugh.

I don't know if people are laughing at Mickey dying so much as they are laughing at Rocky crying.
shareNo. But I did laugh my butt off when Rocky said a prayer in Hebrew.
shareActually if you've ever held someone you've loved and watched them die, his reaction was pretty spot on. Your sobbing uncontrollably, hyperventilating, and desperately trying to speak to this person you know you will never see again, and it sounds like unintelligible gibberish. That scene always got me a little misty eyed.
