My Favorite of the Rocky movies...

I decided to go through the Rocky movies again after purchasing the Bluray set, and while I'm not quite finished with em yet(part 4 is this week) I have to say Part 3 tends to always be my favorite. And it didn't disappoint again!

You just can't beat the story going on, Rocky pretty much becomes a "sell out" in a way, letting success go to his head, and while he's enjoying the ride, he comes to the sad realization that he lost a bit of the kind of man he was(always wanted to be) and has to get it back.("eye of the tiger, man, the edge!")

While so many tend to dismiss it with what society views nowadays, for me, this film has always been about a couple of bros/collegues who find friendship and ultimately success with the simple notion that we have to want something bad enough for ourselves to make it happen! No gay undertones In my book, Rocky 3 is one of the most inspirational films in the series(though every film can be very inspirational to me!) and it's still one of my all time favorites! Easily earns the coveted 10 out of 10. Great direction, great soudtrack, the cast is fantastic and the fights are intense!! I Pity the foo who doesn't enjoy Rocky 3!What say you???

Not a Bad list!!! I think mine would go:

Rocky III
Rocky
Rocky II
Rocky V
Rocky Balboa
Rocky IV - (Would rank 4th on my list for pure entertainment/nostalgia)

You know, I've missed your sparkling personality.

Nice, we have almost the exact same ranking :) Rocky 3 is my favorite out of all the films as well, and IV is my least favorite (not because I dislike it, cause I love all the Rocky films, but its mostly just because the soundtrack is badass and the final fight is pure gold).

Mine would be:

Rocky III
Rocky Balboa
Rocky V
Rocky II
Rocky
Rocky IV (this is the only Rocky movie that I felt was just going through the motions, while all of the others had a story to them)

By far the best Rocky sequel, I think. The fourth was more like a comic book movie and I liked it a lot, but III beats it I think.

How many a$$holes we got on this ship, anyhow?!

My favorite as well. Great soundtrack. Great opponent for Rocky. The way clubber talked reminded me of Muhammad Ali. Guy definitely had charisma.
