Another Brick in the Wall part 1 at the playground
Who else thought it was incredibly sad when Pink is at the playground by himself and another boys father helps him on the merry-go-round, then when they leave Pink runs to the man trying to hold his hand and the man shooing him away little Pink goes to a lonely swing in an empty corner of the playground, watching with equal parts sorrow and envy as the other father's push their children on the swing set?
For a high concept movie so grand and intricate with rich metaphors the simple act of seeing a small child momentarily "adopted" by another child's father(look at the joy that lights his face)then being rejected like that back to his lonely fatherless life brough tears to my eyes. Anyone agree?
