I wonder what it would be like if there were films made as adaptations of The Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and their other albums.
Animals is BEGGING for a movie. They could make it like a twilight zone episode; I've thought about this every time I've listened to the album. Could start with dogs showing a man leaving his family to go to work, noticing that his relationship is becoming more and more strained with his loved ones. As a result he slips into madness and starts to notice all the animals (dogs pigs and sheep) all around him in everyday life; after attempting to work but unable to take the surrealism of it he drives manically home to notice his family have left him (this section to be played as he goes mad recalling his life while the closure to the song plays, 'who was told what to do, by the man'). For pigs I ALWAYS imagined a 'wall' like animation of a female boss like figure, short, stumpy and gross to disgustingly turn into a pig during the crazy middle solo on the song. Build a story around her being viewed as a horrible, discriminating slob of a boss. For sheep you have all the employees rising and rebelling, murdering all the pigs and taking the dogs as their prisoners before the ironic ending of all the sheep congregated together thinking 'who's the leader now?' It's SCREAMING for a movie!
