Sorry for being a hipster and not including Numb or ABITW2, Classic Rock Radio killed those songs for me. Hear a song 5,000 times and it loses some of it's magic, for me at least. Also, Vera is probably a weird choice for #1, but there is just something about how wonderfully composed it is. I almost wish it was longer, but there's something about it being this quick little magical moment I love.
And I really miss "What Shall We Do Now" on the LP, but there really is something conceptually fantastic about Roger asking "How shall I complete the wall?" At the end of Empty Space's lyrics, which are clearly about "Pink" growing estranged from his wife, filling the empty spaces where they use to talk. Getting the immediate answer of how he'll fill the empty spaces... groupies!
