Died today at the age of 70 of lung cancer. Lover has finally lifted him up where he belongs. Great song for a great movie. RIP.

He was a great singer and all but he has nothing to do with the song. Didn't write a word or a note of it.

I got to stay in his house in Santa Barbara back in the late 1990's. My bedroom was this rotunda with amazing 360 degree views of both the mountains and the Pacific ocean.
