The last unicorn aka a film about a horse-REVIEW (minor spoilers)
-a charming animated film about some bloody unicorn
-brilliantly voiced by mia farrow
-kinda a musical too in the same way those old disney films are
-like you meet some character and they immediately break into song
-you cant get away with that in real life btw
-so there's loads of great actors in this
-jeff bridges, christopher lee, mia farrow
-as said mia is genuinely great in this
-her voice as the unicorn is both ethereal and musical
-her singing voice is less so
-its not bad its just not what you would expect
-saying that though
-i think it works
-it gives her character a more human, relatable feel
-which fits perfectly with the story
-so the idiosyncrasies of this film really make it quite pleasant
-and even though at first glance this film looks gay as fuck
-its not
-so fuck off
-the animation in the very first scene
-reminded me of a studio ghibli film
-and the credits had loads of japanese looking names
-like goku and naruto and shit
-and then i read later that these animators
-later formed early studio ghibli
-so a nice little piece of history and context
-the film reminded me of a zelda story tbh
-from the evil red bull underneath the castle (breath of the wild)
-christopher lee's character looked like ganondorf a bit
-the unicorn's human form looked like princess zelda
-and prince lir looked like link
-even the way the bull swirls above the castle is so similar to breath of the wild
-definitely one of nintendo's inspirations
-the unicorn looks quite beautiful in motion too
-they dont make films like this anymore
-so get fucked netflix
-fucking frappuccino drinking plebs
