Is the Book Good?

I just put our library system's (15 libraries) only copy on reserve. Is it a good read? At 200 pages it seems short, but it is a YA book. I'm hopeful there will be a live action version of this within the next 5-6 years. If they can make a live action Jungle book, then the technology exists to make this story into live action movie.

Yes.

The author wrote the screenplay for the film, so it's very similar (with a few cuts for time). A fair bit of the dialogue remains unchanged.

If you can, seek out "Two Hearts" the author's bittersweet kind of sequel.

No tears please, it's a waste of good suffering.

Just finished reading the book. Really enjoyed it. I hope to see a live action within the next few years. I'm even considering buying a hardback copy for my family's personal library.

Avoid buying from Conlan Press - there are all sorts of shenanigans going on at the moment + few people seem to get what they ordered!

I might need to check out the book. I like books that inspire movies I like.

Definitely recommend reading it. I liked it just as much as The Hobbit. If you haven't read Watership Down or Jane Eyre pick up copies of those too!
