What do you all suppose the gang ended up doing with their lives?

I got the feeling the final bit took place in the spring of 82. Do you think they all cooled off over the summer and became friends again the next year? What about after high school? What do you see Rick doing, or Gary and Karen? Karen might have gone to community college and Gary might have gone to university. But what about Rick?

In my mind Sara changed his look and Rick realized she was kind of hot and a much worthy girl than Karen, they are currently in a relation.
Karen did not learn the lesson and had to have a second abortion, but this time she had to do it completely alone since she broke with up with Rick after many infidelities and a couple of STD's passed by him.
