shareyou should be ashamed of yourself...i haven't seen you in anything else, but i'd venture to guess that the alcohol actually helped your horrible acting in this movie.

I think thats a great achievement. Who cares if its a bad film (I haven't seen it), at least your been part of cinema history. It must have been fun.
shareI was an extra also. I drove the jeep with the motorcycle on the back. I was a medic. The jeep in the movie has steering on the left, but it was actually on the right. They must of put the negitive in backwards! I was also in a deleted fight part that a man gets shot in the leg. Also I remember a Korean extra being crush by a tank. He died and there was no filming for 2 days!
shareI was stationed in Korea at the time of this filming. A bunch of our guys took leave and became extras.....I haven't seen the film but I understand that the scene involving the death of the Korean was left in the film.
shareI was an extra also. I was in a secene where a group of international soldiers were to run up on a vehicle driven by Gen. MacArthur with this beautiful blond actress sitting beside him. Olivier was not present that day but the actress was and I got pictures. I was dressed in a turbin and susposed to be an Indian soldier from India.
shareI'm the dude who played MacArthur. I know, my performance stank in this film, but you should see me in Richard III! I'm the bomb!

I was on that hill when the boy got run over by the tank, I have it on VHS. The guy that Terence Young paid to take videos made me a copy of the scenes that I was involved in. I was actually the first one to sign up when they ran the article in the "Stars & Stripes", asking for extras. It was alot of fun and a great experience, I only intended to go for one day and it ended up being several months. I took alot of stills from the first day of shooting through the whole deal. Remember the lottery, never came close, much like the Mega Lottery.
I still watch the video, it runs about 3 hours consisting of behind the scenes with the stars and crew. I have been trying to get a copy of the movie since 1980, with no luck. Do you know if it is available. I sure would like a copy of the movie. If you want a copy of the video that I have, I would send it to you.
It is not perfect, the guy was pretty amateurish when it came to making videos.
Were you one of the guys that they picked to do stunts?
Why isn't the killing of this Korean teenager noted in the trivia section? That makes me doubt the credibility of the story.
Namaste, and good luck.

You guys who were extras or had at least worked on this movie somehow are cool. This was supposed to be a great movie that would pave the way for Bible movies for Sun Myung Moon to make, but I don't know why this movie didn't work out.
I'm a devout Unificationist, and another member of my church burned a copy of this movie for me that he got from another member who bought it from eBay. The eBay copy was recorded from some little-known that I don't know of. It was the shorter version instead of the 3-hour version.
I thought the movie had really bad acting, but it's story was more good than bad.

I was an extra too. At the time I was an actual U.S. Army Staff Sergeant, stationed in Seoul. I was in two different parts of the movie: As a Marine storming Inchon Beach and as a British Troop in a U.N. Compound. We got fed one meal and paid about $30 for each day of shoot. The production company was staying at the Hyatt Hotel and went bankrupt. A month later, they were back in business. I wasn't until later that we found out that it was tainted Moonie money that bailed out the production. By the time I rotated back to the states, the movie was showing in limited runs in select theaters, of which none were near me (Denver at the time). So I never got to see if i was ever visible on-camera. Even if it is a bad film, it would be nice to have it as a souvenir of a fun time...
shareI was the guy that won the lottery. Thousand bucks cash. Back then, big bucks. My CO put it in his safe for me. I still have a picture holding 10 100 dollar bills. I was on the hill getting shot at in the movie.
