Forbidden World Home Video Release Runtimes

Trying to get an accurate fix here on how long the different home video releases of FORBIDDEN WORLD actually run. I have quite a few and am timing them by recording the film onto NTSC VHS. I can then get an accurate runtime by timing the film from the instant it actually starts and ends without some video company fudging it on the cover -- which I have already found evidence of.

Mag.Net Japan Region 2 NTSC DVD: 77min. 05sec.

Embassy Entertainment North American NTSC VHS: 76min. 54sec.

Embassy Entertainment UK PAL VHS: 73min 40sec*

Anolis Films German Region 2 PAL DVD: 73min 45sec* (includes approx. 5 sec of pause due to an audio synchronization problem with the English language track, which Anolis explains on the audio setup menu).

Nelson Entertainment North American NTSC Laserdisc:

Warner Bros. Home Video Japan NTSC Laserdisc:

Will update/amend info as I find time to watch them. One of the reasons why I want to see them all is so that whatever is different on Allan's "director's cut" is more obvious and I can make an accurate log of what is different.

*Remember that PAL transfer times are 5% faster than NTSC due to the sped up spooling rate: PAL = 25fps, NTSC = 24fps. Just because a PAL transfer has a shorter runtime than an NTSC transfer that doesn't necessarily mean anything has been cut.
