the classical intro

hey sorry to be that jerk who asks about a song, but ok let's get it over with...

During the opening ambush/revival/shoootout...
what is that classical piece playing?

I really like this sequence exactly for this reason. Its an oddity to find camp sci-fi edited to classical music. Can't think of any others. (2001 doesn't have shootouts and is not camp) Any other recommendations welcome
Thanks!

Good question, I am not positive but I believe it is something by Mozart. We'll find out for you!

Cheers Dusty! I have an answer from the horse's mouth and I think he'd be delighted for me to paste in the answer:

beethoven's concerto number one. i played that over and over while dreaming up the shooting script for the movie. i think you can see the name of it when
the robot sticks the transparent cassette into the slot at the start of the movie.

Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1.
The name is actually on the clear plastic "file" that Sam 104 puts in the panel to start the music.

Mr. Holzman, congratulations with this movie!
They can talk how much they want about greatness of "Alien" and cheapness of so
called rip-off "Forbidden World". But in my opinion, talking artistically, one little sex sequence between Colby and Barbara, and guard with his jo-jo toy was a masterpiece by itself, worthing more than "Alien" whole. Ingenious!
