How does the film end?

I got a copy of this that ends, after the mutant is killed, with what appears to be the first scene in German. Then credits. Without that scene, it's insanely under length, something like an hour an ten minutes, so that either has to be the ending (or one of them), or something else is off elsewhere. What the hell?

Either it was supposed to have this strange double-ending, or we all watched the same copy where the ending has been messed-up because of some technical error.
