Her possessed girl scratched his leg, he got a blood on his leg, and Scott bite his leg, but why didn't he still get possessed? Or that's why he got possessed in Evil Dead II?

I just don't get it, it makes no sense that Ash's girfriend got possessed after his sister Cheryl stabbed her leg with pencil.

He's special. Not like the others.
The only chance the Kandarian Demon got to possess him is by "direct attack" (see the very end of the movie).

I just don't get it, it makes no sense that Ash's girfriend got possessed after his sister Cheryl stabbed her leg with pencil.

Apparently, the Kandarian Demon can transfer his/its essence trough wood. The wood of the pencil. If you think about it, he is a "spirit of the woods".
