It's time for a remake

It's been far too long. ET has been left alone and it's time for a true rebelling of this story. And with the cg technology today ET can finally be shown I the form that Speilberg intended. It's obvious that Steven wasn't happy with the end result with the animatronic ET. But now with cg this movie can finally be made the right way. The originally puppet ruined the original film. You can tell by the meager 7.9 stars on imdb.

They should remake it as a sci-fi thriller.

Remake? No.

I always wanted them to do a sequel though. I bet they could get most of the original cast as well.

I've read that there was a sequel to the ET book called "The Book of the Green Planet" That probably wouldn't work too good, because it has something to do with Elliot starting to grow up, and forgetting the message that ET taught him. I'm guessing he's probably high school age, while the actor is in his 40s.

I was thinking they could at least get Henry Thomas and/or Drew Barrymore, and have ET connect with their kids. Maybe Elliot and Gertie are too focused on their careers to spend time with their children, and ET helps.....I'm drawing a blank.

lol anyway, I know some will disagree, but I really wish they would do some kind of sequel to this. And unlike other people, if the sequel sucks, it won't ruin the original for me. I'll just pretend that it doesn't exist. Kinda like I did for sequels to the movies Highlander, Matrix, Poltergeist, Gremlins, and probably many others.
