It's time for a remake

The 2002 version can be considered Spielberg's (ill-advised) attempt at a retelling of the film with a CGI-enhanced E.T.

Too many people would prefer animitronics over CGI.. its the reason Gremlins hasnt been made...the creator wants it to keep its original form. Samething with ET. Id rather see a sequel than remake. But this movie should have a 9.1 atleas... 7.9 is far too low...even tho its high but too low for this film...

ET has been left alone and it's time for a true rebelling of this story.

While I am sure some ego prone film maker will give it a try at some point, Few remakes ever do as well as the original film... And with E.T. being one of the most loved (By many) and biggest blockbuster films of all time... You can just about guarantee the remake with suck, no matter who does it.

Just watch the original!

I would rather watch even the worst sequel ( or spinoff) to the original film instead.

How About:

E.T. 2: The Next Generation. E.T.'s Child comes to Earth to have an adventure with Elliot's Son!

OR

E.T. 2: The Aliens Return. Another of E.T.'s race comes to Earth to study it, and meets a new kid.

OR

E.T. 2: Saving E.T.'s World. E.T. returns to Earth to get Elliot and travels to E.T.'s world to save it from destruction with Human knowledge.

OR

E.T. 2: The Search for E.T. Elliot grew up to be an astronaut, and with "KEYS" help, a manned space mission to find E.T.'s planet is made.

OR

E.T. 2: The Renegades. A second race from E.T.'s planet comes to invade Earth, and E.T. returns to save the planet, with Elliot's Help.

OP you need to sit down with all that remake *beep*
