Home media release most closely resemebling 1982 theatrical release?

Which Beta/VHS/CED/Laserdisc/DVD/BluRay release most closely resembles the original release before Speilberg and Lucas started dropping acid and decided to desecrate their films

The Blu-Ray release that I own just has the theatrical version on it. It is fantastic. Great picture, great sound.

Spielberg is actually ashamed of what he did to E.T. back in 2002.

It looks a bit sweaty in there so you may need to apply baby powder Zapp Brannigan

The Blu-ray release.

I'd assume the single-disc DVD version with the words "Anniversary Edition" on top is also the same way.
