Oh S h i t!
Meet the Fockers who, via copyright ownership did away with the only remnant of the movie (Don't Go to Sleep) we had to view.
The only remnant of the movie we had access to was the ending -- it had perhaps the creepiest scene, the pretty-yet-creepy ghost girl (Jennifer), and the hauntingly beautiful themesong -- eerie, melancholy, and beautiful as childhood dreams unfulfilled.
Someone once went to the trouble to put the ending on YouTube. It took effort and risk, but were willing to do it for our enjoyment.
It was available at: YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh2m7BmjWrM)
Then what -- YouTube says it's unavailable / has been removed due to useage rights.
Well, *beep* -- why not release it on DVD and let us PAY for it, then?
If we're not biting into your profits, why do you CARE if we see it?
I don't dispute your right to distribute and make profit off of it, as long as you the copyright owners make it available. But what right do you have if you have no plans for it?
DON'T YOU KNOW THAT THIS CLIP WE SAW ON YOUTUBE can only PROMOTE your movie if you should ever decide to sell it or make money off of it? Hell, it was FREE ADVERTISING for you.
BTW -- YouTube will show anything, no matter how crude, illegal or unsettling. WHy are they pandering to copyright issues when the copyright owner won't even let the public buy it?
Copyright owner/pimps of this movie: if you don't want to SELL it to us, at least let us view clips of this minor cult status movie. And if you DO want to sell it to us, why not allow this free clip to be seen so that people will want to buy it?
