It has taken me almost 20 years to find this movie

Being a small child in the 80s, I saw this movie a couple of times on TV, and it scared the hell out of me. So many parts have stayed with me over the years, but I never knew the name of tthe movie. Finally, I have it figured out, and it was by pure luck that that ever happened. Now it seems that a lot of people know about it, and that is great. I need to see this again, and now that I know the title I am one step closer.

There is another tv movie that I'm trying to find out the title of. The only part I remember is that there is a little girl and a mean older lady that is looking after her or something. There is a cellar door on the floor, and the old lady opens it and goes down into the cellar. She uses a broom stick or something to prop up the door. But when she starts coming up, the little girl knocks the broom stick away and the dorr crashes down on the old lady. Then after a while the little girl opens the door, and sees the old lady dead on the basement floor and her face is covered in blood. And that is all I know of this movie, and let me tell you, I had a hell of time getting to sleep after seeing that. If anyone remembers this, or knows anything about it at all, please tell me cause I need to know.
