When I saw a poster fo this film I was blown away. A awesome dark and creepy castle, like the ultimate villian lare.

But I want to know...Who designed that castle? The architect must of been some insane genius.

And and can see several things on this castle that make wonder what purpose do they serve?

But honestly how many of you think this was the ultimate evil castle?

I believe Jim Henson designed it or atleast helped to. Henson is the king of making movies. Excellent designer. If you have the DVD watch the special features, how all the puppets work is mind boggling.

The in-character architect of the castle? We'll never know. There are only 10 Skeksis alive at the start of the film. According to the other official material there were 18 Skeksis at their origin. One of them must have been an architect or artisan of some kind.

What parts of the castle make you wonder what purpose they serve? I wonder about that steaming cauldron-like thing in the Emperor's throne room. To keep them warm?

I fact,the Uskeks made the Castle,according to World of DC book,they carved it from within the mountain where the Crystal was..but I suppose Skeksis "customized" parts of it later.

I just noticed, if you look close enough, you can see what looks like a garthim head on the castle.

Yes,most of the decoration was Garthim-inspired ,thought the designs were originally Gelfling-made,but the Skeksis changed them to look more sinister.
