Let's not forget Sleepwalkers, The Keep, Def By Temptation and Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter had energy-sucking vampires like Lifeforce and Dark Crystal has.

The only true great vampire movie of the new millenium as it's aimed at adults and not teenagers, watch it and you'll be rewarded of how good it is.
Do you considered Lifeforce's aliens true vampires or vampires in name only? i mean they are considered the ancestors to the vampires of legend when they came to Earth along time ago. They don't have fangs or suck blood but they suck energy/youth/souls instead of blood but they do have vampiric traits like becoming giant bat-like creatures, becoming energy mist, sleeping in energy coffins to all the way of being killed two inches below the heart instead of through the heart with leaded iron.
Do you think vampires are the same as slashers and will die when Twilight is over ? you want Bigfoot, Nessie or other monsters to be on film?

let the right one in is fantastic, not so keen on american version.
i definatly dont consider the aliens in lifeforce to be convential vampires, but they are definatly meant to be vampires with a twist.that film is basically a vampire movie with a sci fi twist.
im fed up with vampires, and was never that keen on slasher movies to be fair. the vampire/romance craze is too much though, i generally find them boring.
i prefer it a bit more extreme, zombies and monsters are my preference, maybe not bigfoot or loch ness :)
zombies will be the next big thing hopefully,
