Rank all the segments from Creepshow 1 and 2
Here's how I rank them:
1. Something to Tide You Over - Leslie Nielson plays a delightfully evil villain whose elaborate murder plot results in some really creepy waterlogged zombies.
2. The Crate - A cool looking monster, great acting by Hal Holbrook, and some really funny moments in which his character fantasizes about killing his annoying wife.
3. The Raft - By far the scariest of all the segments, featuring a very interesting lake monster that captures its victims and dissolves their flesh, consuming four partying college kids who go swimming.
4. Old Chief Woodenhead - An overly drawn out setup with a somewhat rushed and disappointing payoff is made more watchable by some cool kills by a cigar store Indian statue and a very entertaining performance by Holt McCallany as a vain and arrogant asshole.
5. Lonesome Death of Jordy Verill - The title gives away the sad ending and Stephen King's over-the-top acting as a backwoods buffoon got a little testing, but it's a great premise with some cool looking effects with killer weeds that grow from fallen meteor goop.
6. The Hitchhiker - This segment is very redundant, monotonous, and repetitive, with predictable occurrences that basically happen over and over but I like how the ghostly hitchhiker who stalks the woman who accidentally ran him over looks more and more gruesome every time we see him.
7. Father's Day - This story about a vengeful zombie who returns from the grave to terrorize his family of rich snobs is just too basic and generic, with the somewhat shocking final frame being the best part.
8. They're Creeping Up On You - As cool as it was seeing E.G. Marshall's abusive tycoon character getting his just desserts in his futuristic looking penthouse apartment, this segment is mostly just gross and only scary to someone who is afraid of bugs, which I'm not.
