Just wondered if any of you guys(especially the Americans)..have seen the UK Thorn emi release,which was cut to sh!t.I didn't realise this until i imported an unrated vhs a few years ago(pre dvd days).It was always my favourite film,but when i saw the uncut version it blew me away!!!!!!!.....deleted scenes include.....the gang fight on the wasteground is a lot shorter......when stegman and his gang are "interviewing" for new kids to work for them,the girl doesn't get her clothes off(who insisted on this scene to be reshot!!)....we don't get to see fallons arm being cut off by the saw when he is fighting norris..and many more! Once again,us in the UK are being deprived by our nannystate censors,Grrrrrrr!!!

I saw the cut version loads of times when i was younger. I actually thought this was how it was supposed to be until I bought the DVD years later. It totally threw me when Sally took her clothes off. It just goes to show how strict the UK censors were back in 1982.

I first saw this movie on VHS as a kid of about 11 and I saw the uncut version. Living in Australia I guess we have almost the same levels of restrictions as the USA. I have the Roadshow Home Video release of the film in Australia and its uncut, and amazing.

It seems Britain's censors are very strict. From memory they used to edit down the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV show as well. Wonder what else recieved the 'chop'?
