Wots the Class of 1984 adout .

Hi PJFR,

It's about an idealistic young teacher(Perry King) who moves to the city. He subsequently gets a job at a very rough inner city school. He's of the opinion that some of the kids can be reached. Most of the faculty is burned out, or scared, and scoff at his zeal. There is one thug(Vincent Van Patten)who is the ringleader of most bad goings on at the school. The teacher trys to reason with, and reach, him and his band of miscreants. Needless to say, it doesn't work out too well. After awhile the thugs start to physically lash out at the teacher and his family. After one particularly violent episode the teacher takes the law into his own hands and goes on a violent revenge spree. It's a somewhat corny movie now, but for its day(1982) it was really good. I would recommend taking a look at it if you've never seen it before. The acting is not bad, and the plot(while a little unbelievable)is easy to get into.
