Overall, I enjoyed this film except for the deplorable rape scene and the mega-phony gang fight. I understand that Fallon and Barnyard were tough but Drugstore was a wuss and Stegman was more brains than brawn. There's no way the 4 of them would squash the 6 big Black dudes they fought in such one-sided fashion. Also, I know this is fantasy but one small group running a school full of tough kids???? I questioned these things in the theatre at age 16 and recently at age 46 while watching the Anchor Bay dvd.

I was waiting to see who their drug supplier was. I kept thinking through the whole thing that the principle or someone was the mastermind. But they had bats and long melee weapons which gave them a huge advantage over the black gang

If that was done today that black gang would've had guns. Sadly hand to hand combat is a thing of the past.

They won the gang-fight because they had better weapons (more advantage with baseball bats over flick-knives).

Yeah, that's what I thought. Bats trump knives, because you hit first. You've got more range and smack them before they get close enough to cut you.

Yeah it is hard to believe that a gang of 4 guys could rule what looks to be one of the hardest or toughest high schools in the country .. they do show Stegmen recruiting another member later on but that still would make their gang pretty light in terms of numbers

This was the 80s thpugh and who knows - maybe Stegmens drug supplier was very powerful and kept the gang safe and on top …?
