In fact if you were to try and think of a British TV series that was both massively popular and massively political you'd have one contender. Even since there hasn't been anything like it.
shareBleasdale's second series, "G.B.H." was also brilliant. I saw this when it first aired in 1991 and just bought the discs. Just as good as I remember.
