Ultimately Alien and Blade Runner are beyond Ridley Scott's grasp.

They are not "Ridley Scott" films, he is nowhere near the titles, they are both reliant on far superior genius artists, and they tower over everyone and everything. That is why Scott detests them so much because he can't control them, they aren't "his", he's basically just a stunt director for them.

Agreed. Just finished watching Exodus: Gods and Kings. Seemed as if he was just going through a checklist. Im not bashing him by any means, but I will say he's lost what he had. Even Covenant and Prometheus at least LOOKED beautiful. Sadly, there were no redeeming qualities about Exodus. Hercules and Xena had more appeal.
