Why Roy killed Tyler?
Why?
shareBecause of his cruelty. Tyrell creates life (in the form of slaves) only to let it self-destruct after 4 years. If you were a slave or a replicant, would you be pleased with that?

One way to look at it is to see Tyrell as a cruel ruler, like a pharaoh in old Egypt.
He lives in a giant pyramid (symbolizing power). He is super rich while everyone else lives below him literally and also in terms of having less money.
Roy calls Tyrell "the god of biomechanics". Pharaohs were considered to be gods.
- And Tyrell creates slaves, the replicants. The Pharaoh according to the Bible made the Hebrews slaves.
Roy is a freedom fighter like Moses from the Bible.
Roy (like Moses) opposes this slavery which Tyrell has created.
Roy wants Tyrell to release the replicants from the tyranny of only a 4 year lifespan. (Moses wanted Pharaoh to release the Hebrew slaves.)
Tyrell says he is unable to do that. (Pharaoh refused to free the Hebrew slaves.)
So, Roy decides to punish Tyrell.
- With Moses and the Bible, God punishes the Pharaoh by killing his son and also destroying his army in a flood.
- In "Blade Runner" Roy punishes Tyrell by killing him.
Imo at least, BB ;-)
it is just in my opinion - imo - 🌈
