Discussion on WestWorld shows why Deckard needs to be

Discussion on WestWorld shows why Deckard needs to be HUMAN; GREAT show, Villeneave has some work to do.

Esp missing is the concept that empathy for other living beings is what separates humans from robots, that is how the Androids were always found out in BR/Do Androids dream of electric sheep...they lacked empathy whatsoever while humans had evolved a state religion based on that. Almost all animals are extinct in the world in the Novel and most animals are robots, real ones are incredibly rare and expensive. The robots do not care about animals etc and hurt insects, spiders and people easily.

In WW, the human visitors are the ones lacking empathy, lol!

Have not read the novel, but in the movie this is incorrect, AND it may not be intentional on the part of Didley Squatt....

Roy Batty and his "family" had more empathy and caring than a loner like Rick Deckard, yes i am of the view that Deckard is human for the story to make sense.

If BR is meant as a social commentary on the fact humans have lost their humanity and the androids have gained theirs, then WW and Nolan have done it correctly.

In WW, robots do what they are told, empathy isnt in question, they dont know right from wrong: Bernard kills exactly because he s ordered to, basical binary yes or no.

Now the humans like Ford, they know right from wrong, but they dont care !!
