LOL, has it been asked here

whether or not Deckard's "committe of moral abuses" act when he hunts down Zhora is proof that he's a replicant or not? God that was awkward--how dumb did he think she actually was?!? And that voice he used!!

Great visual details I love in BR:

1)The Millennium Falcon!
2)The little "beep beep beep" rising electronic noise when Ford's in the elevator going to his apartment
3)"Cross now. Cross now. Cross now. Cross now."
4)The "995" on the spinning police cars looking like Space Invaders
5)The "Vid-Phon" things.
6)Cuisinart!!!

Definitely one of several very cringeworthy moments. In Deckard's defense, though, he was coming across more as a possible pervy creep than a state-sanctioned hit man.

Thit and thpin!

I agree. A slimy perve type that hounds showgirls. She saw through his charade right away.

The scene is a kind of homage to Bogart's character, Marlowe in The Big Sleep, when Marlowe poses as a nerdy bookstore customer to get information.

Good catch.
- Many professional reviewers / Noir specialist sites believe that "Blade Runner" is a neo-noir film.
But you bringing up this homage to a Bogart noir film can be added to a list of things which show that the film makers of BR wanted to make a science fiction noir movie.

Imo at least, BB ;-)

it is just in my opinion - imo - 🌈

Agreed; I've always considered it the first neo-noir sci-fi film, the first melding of two great genres.
