The village of Emur built on stilts.
It's not explained in the film why all the homes in Emur were mounted on stilts, about 50 feet in the air. It bugs me because nobody builds on stilts for no reason, so, there must have been some threat that the Emurites learned to deal with by living on stilts. But, what was the threat? They also had a wooden wall around the village.
The Juns immediately attacked the stilts upon entering the village, so we see it was a massive liability against an invading army.
