What is that theme music from?

I swear the first 7 notes or more of the them music are taken exactly from Battlestar Galactica the TV show in 1978.

Anyhow, this was my favorite movie to watch growing up on Channel 9 in Minneapolis. It holds up remarkably well (first time watching it since then). Way better than the TV version too, wow!

I haven't watched this movie for the longest time and finally bought the dvd a few days ago and was amazed to hear the theme and think that I've heard it somewhere before. Atleast I'm not the only one who thinks it sounds like the old BSG theme. That one part always made me think of BSG and not Dar.

And they both sound like Miklos Rosza's theme for King Of Kings.
