If you've been to my profile page, you'll know that 1/8 of my posts are questions concerning the gore in a film. Wel, now it's time to ask that question about this film.
Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo? Where are you people. ANSWER ME NOW!!!! Amazon is running out of copies of this movie as we speak. SOMEONE SAY SOMETHING! Auiuto, sonno que, solo! (Italian for "Help, I'm here, alone!")
You obviously can't rent it, so I'll tell you what I remember:
The gore is EXTREMELY cartoony and unrealistic. I remember several people getting their faces scratched by the monster's claws (actually he pulls their faces off-screen and when it jump-cuts the actor comes back up with the make-up on), an after-the-fact torn in half body, an implied sliced-down-the-middle (we see a shot of his feet as his legs fall in opposite directions), uh, and that's about it, other than the nurses finding a doctor with her face covered in scalpals, with her screaming cheesily.
You should really be concerned about the scene of full-frontal female nudity though.

COOL!! Cartoony and Unrealistic gore? I love that sh*te! NEAT! I hope Amazon gets a new shipement of this movie soon. I'd love to see it. And I can take 1 scene of female nudity. (Even though it's sooooo disgusting EWW)
By the way, have you seen my post for "Blood of Dracula"?
I'm 14 years old, why? I just happen to LOVE gore. Ever since seeing "The Toxic Avenger" I seem to have an unnatural attraction to bloody and violent movies. That's why I like Quentin Tarantino movies. They're always so violent. (Like "Kill Bill")
If you love violence, just ask me. I have a list of incredibly violent (both cartoony and serious) movies. The Toxic Avenger started my immense love (and hate) for Troma movies.
My suggestions:
Dead Alive/Braindead, Re-Animator, Bad Taste, and Redneck Zombies (also a Troma release) plus the latter two "Dead" movies by George Romero are all very bloody and violent.

Hey i'm 14 too, and i happen to be IN LOVE with horror movies, (and also happen to be Quentin Tarantinos biggest fan - though i have to say, that Kill Bill is most certainly not gruesome!!) No movies scare me, so that's probably why i love loads of gore and some kewl killings!
"Total F!!king Silence! Two Can Play At That Game!"- Steve Buscemi (Fargo) BIGGEST FAN "Everyone takes a beating.. Even the mailman" - Ray Liotta (Goodfellas)
You should really be concerned about the scene of full-frontal female nudity though.
I'm sure you've seen it by now and realized that what grrdevin meant to say was full frontal male nudity. I hope you enjoyed it. If you still haven't found it try searching for "Something Weird'. They reissue and distribute this and many other classic b horror movies. Keep up the good/bad taste!
Well okay. I can assume you've only seen the cut, R-rated version. While I did forget to mention the full-frontal male nudity (which is shown in quick cuts), there was also a very long shot from the side of a naked female body with a bloody groin area.

Funnily enough, The Beyond is on my to-rent list. I just got back from Hollywood but I decided to rent three other movies instead. I've seen Zombi 2 and it wasn't all that spectacular. Why does everyone find the eye-gouging scene unsettling? It's not realistic at all! I guess that girl suffered an "optical contusion." (Get it??)

Sounds like this will be a good movie to watch then but the problem is that how can I when no cable channel or station shows this kind of movies anymore! That is why a friend and I are trying to get a show back on the weekends again called USA UP ALL NIGHT on the USA Network.
They use to show this movie and many others as well.
UP ALL NIGHT was da bomb! I remember, back in the 90s, it came on around the time right after Wierd TV used to end(does anybody remember that show?). I remember UP ALL NIGHT had a LOT of awesome horror flicks! I saw "Night of the Creeps" for the first time(LOVE that movie!).
I am sorry to say but I vaguely remember Wierd TV I hate to say it but I do remember USA UP ALL NIGHT though because I was a major fan of the show when it was on.
They had the best movies on Friday and Saturday nights! I miss that show a lot you know! I miss hearing Rhonda Shear saying USA UP ALL NIGHT for a commercial break. That is why I created a website in dedication to USA UP ALL NIGHT so that it can be brought back you know.
I am not sure what the beyond is about because it has been a long time since I have seen this movie on. No one shows this movie on networks today. They would have shown this 20 years or more ago on TV because the standards was a lot lower and not scrutinized that much like they are now.
It seems like today they are a little more picky about what they show on TV.
