I remembered my father rented this film out we the whole family my mother, my brother who is 2 years younger than me, my sister 4 years younger all watched this together after our dinner. Gave me some nightmares for a few days. Between 1984 or 1985.

Half of the time I was covering my face with my hands. Fridays was usually takeout/takeaway video film night in our household, he just randomely picked the video from the shelf.

not that uncommon. my dad also showed me some very scary movies when i was a kid and even though i had serious trouble sleepin i still enjoyed it and was always wanting to see more horror movies. although he only showed movies like the thing, night of the living dead, friday the 13, prince of darkness and shining those movies felt VERY scary at that time...
