Duane's Father and the Doctors: the Right Decision? ** Spoilers **

** Spoilers ** Considering the events in the third act (Belial's psychotic rage and jealousy, Sharon's fate, the tragic climax): did Duane's father make the right decision in an effort to do what is best for Duane? And even though the doctors seemed to be sleazy in the present day, at least in the flashback, they also appeared to be motivated by helping Duane (however there is no mention of how much "under the table" cash Duane's father may have paid them so that may have been the determining factor). Duane himself, while fighting with Belial, realizes "I'll never have a normal life!" Under the circumstances, I'm unsure that if I were a father in a similar situation to Duane's father, that I wouldn't attempt the same procedure. Is it possible that writer/director Henenlotter had an intentional undercurrent of the "right to life" vs. "pro choice" debate?

I think it was definitely the right choice.

You got a vet doing a twinectomy on a kid in a Dexter tent in the dining room, and you wanna talk ethics and morals? ;-)

Right to separate them
