No need to pick up any toys

"That's ok I haven't got any anyway"

I don't know why but that part makes me laugh lol!

only toys i saw was a cheap plastic bugle tooted by miss h during the 'easy street' number, and a white horse-with wheels, not rockers, i think-visible through the door of the sewing room door, out in the hallway.

This part always made me feel sad. As a kid it made me feel lucky to have toys. The idea that other kids didn't get toys surprised me and made me feel bad for them. This movie opened my eyes to orphans. Kinda a rude awakening for a young kid.

Always the optimist. That's what I always got from it. To paraphrase the First Wives Club, she could see the bright side of the plague.

I know her a little bit and that's how Aileen is in real life.

I think what makes it funny is that she says it with such enthusiasm.

Annie mentions she doesn't have toys. But since she's lived in that orphanage her whole life, she probably doesn't even know what a toy is.

As a child, I wanted more and more toys. My parents did not buy them all for me, and I got by on a relatively small number, compared to what kids have today. As an adult, I'm thankful they didn't indulge me. There is such a thing as too many toys.

my parents were the same way. I am also very glad.
