Is this a true story? Any other movies like this but better?

This was my first time watching this movie a few minutes ago. Wow I didn't know this movie series was so good.

Especially for a 1982 horror movie.

Anything else good like this movie?

It's based on a true story of the DeFeo murders at 112 Ocean Avenue. But there have been law suits against many of the Amityville movies for exaggerating what actually happened.

You would think killing people would make them like you but it doesn't. It just makes them dead.
